Pre Shift, a trade-focused newsletter by the editors of Eater and Punch, launched in 2023. I was responsible for the creative direction of the initial brand visual identity, including mood boards, type and colorways. For the logo design, I reached out to an independent designer, Scott Downey, who crafted various iterations of the lockup.

In the years since launch, not only has Pre Shift continued publishing as a newsletter, it’s also expanded into a multi-city event series. As Associate Creative Director, I oversaw the design of all on-site collateral, including menus, signage and merch, for Pre Shift On Tour and One Last Shift. I’ve continued to add to the brand toolkit as needed, commissioning spot illustrations, alternate logo lockups and more.
